Plein Air Chinatown

A collection of paintings of LA Chinatown. Chinatown was a place i would go to as a child with my immigrant parents. as an adult, i saw that it had changed and was not as bustling as it once was. then, covid happened. i felt a need to paint to preserve the place i love, hopefully to remind other angelenos, how beautiful Chinatown is, and how it needs to be cherished as it faces gentrification. I ultimately had a solo show in 2023 about Chinatown's gentrification, in Chinatown's Leiminspace gallery.
